Community Education and Healthcare Institutional Support
Are you a public library, [inter]faith community, or other community-focused space looking for educational opportunities on end-of-life issues and needs?
I offer workshops, “death cafes,” or other facilitated spaces for people to learn and share. Topics range from advanced care planning to support-network building to having difficult conversations with compassion.
Are you a hospital, hospice, senior living facility, or nursing home supporting individuals and families in navigating end-of-life care?
I partner with institutions to offer educational tools and sessions, hourly services to ease the strain on care teams, mediation to resolve family friction, and ongoing support after a loss.
-
Interactive sessions for community members or staff that teach practical ways to talk about grief, aging, and end-of-life choices with courage and clarity.
Examples include:
Having Difficult Conversations Around Death & End-of-Life with Compassion
What to Expect in the Dying Process
Demystifying & Navigating the World of ‘End-of-Life’ Decisions
Building a Network of Support & Preventing Caregiver Burnout
Exploring & Tending to What’s Most Important for You In Your Final Chapter
Not sure what would be most helpful or interesting for your community? You can book a free consultation for us to discover that together!
-
I can offer a block of hours or available timeslots for mediation or facilitation at hospitals, hospices, part of workplace employee assistance programs, etc.
I can help de-escalate disagreements, resolve decision-making deadlocks, and build bridges between staff and grieving family members.
I can also facilitate sessions to support people and their close circle to build a plan of action most authentic to their wishes while within the practical realities they face.
-
When a person passes, loved ones are often left overwhelmed by administrative tasks and grief support needs—at a time in healthcare institutions when clinical teams may not have the bandwidth to help. I can step in to guide grieving families through immediate next steps, practical logistics, and local grief resources.
About my Sliding Scale for Education and Institutional Support Pricing
I offer a tiered pricing scale for workshops, staff training, and institutional mediation to match the operating budget of your organization:
Community & Grassroots Tier: Designed for public libraries, neighborhood senior centers, and small, non-profit community groups operating with limited programming budgets.
Standard Institutional Tier: Designed for regional hospice agencies, senior living facilities, community healthcare systems, and well-established non-profits.
Corporate & Major Health Systems Tier: Designed for large hospital networks, university wellness initiatives, and corporate partners. Revenue from this tier directly funds subsidized programming for our local public libraries and community centers.
Don’t know where you fall within the sliding scale? That’s perfectly ok. Don’t be shy to reach out: We can talk and figure it out together.
